Summary

One of the primary means to achieve this is to develop a highly effective team and to develop each employee to their highest potential through coaching and leadership. Responsible for all aspects of branch operations in partnership with the Branch Manager.

Primary Duties

  1. Co-manages all branch functions to include coaching, day-to-day activities, communication and an overall seamless and consistent execution of the member experience. Works closely with the Branch Manager to ensure continuity with leadership message, coaching routines and branch operations.
  2. Creates branch scheduling for all roles residing in the branch.  Ensures proper coverage by all roles, schedules lobby leadership and monitors adherence throughout the day.  Provides team with schedule a minimum of 10 days in advance and communicates plan for the day during the daily huddle.  Owns any and all changes and approves time off requests with consistency for all branch associates.
  3. Owns training, coaching and execution for team.  Works closely with leadership to gather success stories and understand areas of opportunity for the branch.
  4. Co-manages all operational activities and results with Branch Manager taking the lead on operational excellence. Ensures all branch activities and associates exhibit operational integrity and sound operational practices. Adhere to policy and procedures and ensure the same from the branch associates.  Stays up to date on any changes and communicates to the entire team in a timely and concise manner. 
  5. Works closely with Branch Manager to ensure leadership, support and proactive management is consistent throughout the day and all deadlines are met consistently.
  6. Ensures proper and consistent execution of outlined branch activities and key plays including lobby leadership, coaching, daily huddles, best practice sharing and a culture of escalation.
  7. Assists in providing guidance and leadership on all judgment calls with overrides and exceptions.  Helps balance sound judgment with the proper risk environment and the right member experience. Share’s scenarios, decisions, and outcomes with team to help drive continuity and build proficiency across the team.
  8. Accountable for meeting and/or exceeding all components on individual scorecard (both metrics and behaviors) and contributes to achieving branch goals/targets including any special campaigns or initiatives.
  9. Assists in providing an inclusive and diverse environment that encourages associates to speak their mind, share and escalate feedback, opinions and thoughts and an environment where all associates lead by example and put the member first.
  10. Assists with the interviewing and onboarding for all new hires as necessary. Works closely with Branch Manager to ensure a strong candidate selection process is followed and top talent is hired for the right roles in the branch.
  11. Leads by example by supporting the corporate mission, cultural values and managing diversity and inclusion. Escalates concerns and shares thoughts and ideas with the Retail Delivery team.
  12. Provides back up for Branch Manager in their absence.
  13. Works closely with peers, Senior Leadership, Retail Delivery team and other leaders to achieve consistency, maximum results and the best member experience possible.
  14. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education
Must have a High School diploma or equivalency.

Experience

Must have three (3) years of experience in branch operations within a financial institution. Supervisory experience preferred.  

Skills

Must have the following skills and/or abilities:

  • Strong understanding of branch sales environments.
  • Must possess strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, influence, and promote teamwork. 
  • Must be customer service oriented and must be able to work well under pressure.
  • Must have strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written). 

Special Requirements

Must be flexible in work schedule to include Saturdays and to rotate within branch network.

Physical/Other Requirements

Must be able to:

  • Stand or sit for long periods of time.
  • Lift 10-20 lbs.
  • Climb, stoop, and/or kneel.
